2006-01-19 - 22:55 Huh...again no entry for over a month. Bad blogger. I'll be sure to spank myself later. Lincoln never did listen to the CD. He brought it in and left it in the abyss on his coffee table, never to be heard from again. So we're still together. I love him to bits. So anyway, happenings since the 10th of December. Many and varied. I had that interview with Intermountain Healthcare. Three of them, actually, for two different jobs. One at Primary Children's Hospital and the other at the corporate offices. I took the gig at the corporate office because it was a little more money and a normal schedule. I started Jan 3 and I'm still easing into it. Before I started this fabulous new position, my grandparents had an episode. My grandfather's Alzheimer's, combined with pneumonia for both of them, put them in a bad way. I brought them back up to Salt Lake City from Fairview (a bustling metropolis in central Utah that boasts a population of 1100 people). My grandfather is in a nursing home and my grandmother is staying with my aunt. Hopefully sometime soon they will move into an assisted living facility here in Salt Lake. I went down the week after Christmas to clean up their house, which was in massively bad shape. Lincoln and I are going to go collect my grandpa's cats on Sunday. There's sure to be more news on that. Lincoln's family was so sweet to me on Christmas. Everybody bought me presents, but I didn't get anyone anything (I was broke and I hadn't even met anyone except Linc's parents). They've adopted me as one of their own. Lincoln invited me to move in with him. It sounds really wonderful, but we eventually decided against it because our expectations don't really match up. We didn't rule it out for the future, though. In fact, Lincoln and Lane talked plainly about our wedding (specifically, whether Lane would get to be the best man) last night. I've been all giddy over it all day. I can't wait for Valentine's Day.
